I had a passion for music since the age of 2. I was born and raised in Louisburg, NC and began singing in church at the age of three and never looked back. In middle school I started playing the flute. By the time I reached high school I wanted a change so I decided to play 3rd bass drum in the marching band. It was then that I realized my love for the drums and learned to play a set.  In 1998 I graduated high school and attended St. Augustine's College in Raleigh, NC where I majored in music as a vocalist. The dean of students loved my voice so much that he authorized for me to have my own personal piano player. When the dean traveled and spoke at different events I accompanied him. I have sung quartet since the age of 16 with my family group. My love for gospel music is strong. In 2009 I wanted to change and explore different types of music so I joined one of Raleigh's hottest bands, Mixed Water, as a background vocalist. While doing this I met someone that wanted me to sing lead for their band. This is when I joined Collective Melodies. Even though this was nice I still knew that I wanted my own band so that I could be a little more creative and have a chance to show my leadership skills. This is when The Applauze was created. I have a gift for music and I don't like to just stick with one genre. I add flavor and style to anything that I sing and make it my own!!!!!!!
